Low Mom on the Totem Pole

"Mom...Boo says my birthday is the day before her singing class."

"Well, your birthday is in four more days. If today is Friday, then your birthday would be on Tuesday. That's the day after her singing class."

"Well, I'm going to go ask her just to make sure."

You have always been where I return,
The home that is my harbor from the sea,
The place where what I am can easy be,
With nothing I need alter or unlearn.

That you would give has always been a given,
Your love for me is something simply there,
As plain and necessary as the air,
