Dad: Their water heater exploded and they have to close the restaurant because there's no hot water."

Hungry Child: What do they need hot water for?"

Dad: Without hot water, they can't wash the dishes."

Hungry Child: Shouldn't they at least ask us first if we want to eat on the plates?"
