We've been listening to the baby phoebes above our kitchen window for a few days now. We thought finches had taken over this nest but we were wrong. This is the first time we've climbed a ladder to see them. They don't even have their eyes open yet, but in one more week they'll be ready to leave the nest. I'm hoping we'll be home that day to watch the parents teach them to fly.
Here's mama. She's got a tasty morsel in her beak.

Too cute! We have phoebes here too, but their nests are hidden from us. We have a few robin families with babies that are already on the ground waiting for mom to bring food. They are fun to watch!
