Grandmama loves the outdoors as much as we do so when she came for a visit this week, we had to take her to our little duck pond. How many eggs can one duck sit on? Though the females are outnumbered three to one, the males are in no way lacking in their responsibility to contribute equally to new life at the pond. I thought eight was a lot, but this mama has fourteen.
I'm guessing that laying an egg must be similar to giving birth, sort of. I cannot even fathom fourteen in a lifetime.
