Dad chipped in with the pumpkin carving this year. Since I was getting behind in my festive duties this afternoon, we both took two pumpkins and got down to business while the girls enjoyed an enhanced session of finger licking. I keep telling them that more frosting is suppose to end up on the cookies but nobody listens to me.
The important thing is that we're suppose to be having a whole lot of fun, here, and that can be difficult in this household, especially after your mother makes you touch pumpkin mush.
She definitely likes frosting on her fingers better.
Meanwhile, teens don't miss an opportunity to think "outside the box." Inside the box means putting the sprinkles and crystallized sugar on top of the frosting which should already be on the cookies.
"Outside the box" means sucking down half the contents of the decor container until a desired effect has been achieved:
My very own Scary Cookies.
It's been a long day hasn't it? And you want to go to sleep...
But wait...do you know where your pumpkins are?
